From March 15-18, 2016, industry leaders came together for the annual Digital Signage Expo in Las Vegas. Hundreds of vendors, integrators, and manufacturers attended to experience the latest digital signage technologies in one room. Innovation was on display throughout the exhibit hall and Enplug innovation was no exception. This year, we had two adjacent 20’x20′ booth spaces at the show.

This year we unveiled our brand-new DisplayOS Dashboard and rolled out our newest Traffic App.

We held free workshops at our booth on topics ranging from using digital signage in the workplace to scaling projects for displays around the world.

David Meerman Scott, Wednesday’s keynote speaker on “Real-Time Marketing: A New Approach to Expand the Power of Digital Signage,” stopped by our booth to test out the real-time capabilities of Enplug. After using our live Instagram feed he wrote about his experience in a post titled “Bringing Online Content to Your Offline Marketing.”

According to Scott, “The integration of offline to online as well as online to offline is a fascinating new frontier for marketers, and digital signage is a great way to implement new ways to reach buyers with valuable information they will appreciate.”

Later that day, Mike Lanni, our “Key Account Executive,” and Jessie Kim, our “Chief Strategy Officer,” hosted an industry roundtable on “Digital Signage in the Workplace: Boosting Team Happiness and Productivity.” Representatives from companies like Coca-Cola, Pepperdine University, and Edison all gathered for an intimate discussion on how digital signage has evolved from being used solely as wayfinding and directories to tools for productivity in the office.

The following day Jessie Kim held a free on floor workshop, “Smart Town, Smart City, Smart World – The Future of the Connected Community” where she explored the “smart city concept” and the role digital signage will play in it. In the future, Jessie predicts all cities will be environmentally conscious, intelligently connected with efficient transportation, and informed with personalized signage. The cities of the future will thus reconcile humans, technology, and ecology.

Before DSE closed out on Friday, Rave Publications stopped by our booth to get a quick run-down of how Enplug works.

DSE 2016 was a success for the Enplug team as we unveiled some of our technology’s newest capabilities.
