Lynda Smith is the kind of voice talent that can do it all. Whether pronouncing complicated medical terms, or providing a soothing voice for a day spa… she is very versatile and loves what she does.

Lynda studied Broadcast Journalism at California State University-Humboldt in Northern California. She focused on radio journalism and says she was hooked from the moment she first sat behind a microphone. Lynda says that she loves bringing a story to life for radio listeners.

Her career as a voice talent began while she was working as an on-air talent in local radio in San Diego. Over the years she was approached numerous times for outside commercials, narration for books on tape, and even political narrations. Eventually, being a voice talent became her full-time profession, and she loves every minute of it.

“I enjoy the world that arrives in my in-box each day! The opportunity to learn new things, talk about new places, being a voice for medical and dental offices. I never know what will be that day, from a travel narration to a complicated medical description, to soothing day spa messages. I can record voiceovers for companies all over the world from my little studio in Southern California. It’s never the same, and I like variety.”

Lynda grew up in Northern California in the San Francisco Bay Area, and says she is a California girl through and through! She met her husband Rick at her first radio job right out of college, and they both moved to San Diego, where at one time they worked for competing morning shows! Lynda and Rick have one son together, Nicholas, who is currently in college.

Lynda says that if she could do voiceover work for any company or business in the world, she would love to do narration for one of the Disney attractions!
