Chart is first of its kind to track in-store music play at retail locations
TAMPA, Fla. – August 14, 2018 – Spectrio, one of the nation’s leading providers of in-store marketing solutions powered by content and technology, today announced it has partnered with What’s In-Store Music to debut exclusive charts for All Access Music Group that track weekly spin count for music played in select retail establishments.
The charts are available via All Access Music Group, the web’s largest radio and music industry community, and Spectrio is the only In-Store Music provider with charts in this major outlet.
What’s In-Store Music works with both major label and independent artists to promote their music to programming partners like Spectrio, which provides licensed In-Store Music for businesses.
“Over the last three years of working with Shawn Cash and the Spectrio team, we have created a new metric for the music industry,” said Scott Emerson and Bob Catania, partners at What’s In-Store Music. “Our relationship with Spectrio allows us to generate the in-store plays and report the spin totals for our charts. Working with All Access ensures the information is available to the widest possible audience in the music industry. The association of these three companies provides artists a great new opportunity for exposure.”
What’s In-Store Music charts include Currents, Re-Currents, The Dance Environment, Year To Date, and Holiday, and the numbers are actual programmed plays that come from Spectrio’s internal programming system.
“Spectrio is excited to help independent, new and established artists as they ramp up their careers or seek a wider audience, by providing a unique opportunity for exposure and promotion outside of more ‘traditional’ routes,” said Shawn Cash, Director of Programming at Spectrio. “Offering these exclusive What’s In-Store Music charts puts Spectrio on the leading edge of our niche in the music industry while ensuring we provide the best content to our clients.”
